So I started out reading this article about Gatsby costuming - I like the double-interview style, even though I'm more on the actual designer's side and agree that people would have turned up their noses at very accurate 1922 costuming - and then got over to the one about Gatsby getting flappers wrong, and sigh. The criticism of Fitzgerald's lady-issues is spot on (and the nasty sexism in the comments just highlights it), but SIGH. 1) Overuse of "flappers". 2) Term "flapper movement" used like it was an organized political thing. 3) Being like "suddenly, FLAPPERS". 4) And then like, "and everything was totally changed forever".

Buying Christmas presents! I am doing horrible at it this year, for some reason I didn't think about it until this past week.

I went to Bella's winter concert tonight so I can feel like a good sister (it is SUPER weird to think of being a sister to a sister) but it used up like all of the evening, more sighs.

Geena Davis solved sexism.
