Doctor Who thoughts
I don't like the word Akhaten as it doesn't flow right to me without the "en" in the middle.
- I like how Clara, Amy, and Rose all went to spaaaace for their second episodes (how's that for not keeping continuity with RTD?) and moved the plot by talking to someone seemingly insignificant, but at the same time it's a very different person for each. Lovely bit of symmetry.
- The music wasn't alien enough though. I mean it was pretty but come on.
- The Vigil were altogether WAY too much like the Silence/Silents, in name and appearance. By the appearance thing I mean that vertical thing from their noses to their chins - it just reminded me too much of the vertical striations on the Silents. I'm sorry, that's stupid, isn't it? But it's what came to mind at the time.
- The "bargain basement" thing was definitely a dig about Martha, and while I loved that fact it also seemed to come out of nowhere. Maybe a bit too vehement?
- Over all I liked it!
