The last semester I will ever have to register for

I don't know why I can't do something so simple. Instead I have to email the registrar, the program head, and the graduate office and they get it done for me eventually but ugh. No, Dad, I will never ever get a PhD (not that I have ever heard of a fashion/textile history PhD program anyway).

You can get your PhD at Courtauld, The University of Glasgow, Bard, and The Royal College of Art (the program is connected to the V&A!). Not to mention you could get a PhD in anthropology anywhere and fashion history applies to anthropology.

True confession: I had no idea how PhD programs worked until I searched "phd courtauld programs" and saw the list of students, topics, and supervisors. I figured they were like MA programs with less people, I guess? That was kind of my fallback excuse when my dad nudged me ... food for thought. Maybe someday when I'm not as tired of academia! :D
