chocolatepot: Ed and Stede ([dovecote] thinking)
Yesterday I tried ballet costumes on a dress form at the museum to see if that would be a good size for them to order. Nope, it's not. I think the form was a 4, and the majority of the costumes were probably 2s, with a few 0s. I was so tired last night that I fell asleep almost as soon as I got into bed. It's surprisingly hard work! But the dress form was fairly tall, the top of the neck was above my head, and some of the costumes were amazingly heavy. Really, the only ones that fit were the ones from Pillar of Fire, probably because they're the newest and I think ballet dancers are a little less thin these days. You can see the three costumes I dressed in the picture below:

They didn't fit quite as well as in the picture, though. I also sewed a spangle and another thing back on with my horrible Skala synthetic-hair-silk impossible-to-see thread.

Wow, I got my laundry in from the line just in time! But of course it's not an exciting sort of a storm, even though the radar shows a ton of red and yellow. :( It just rained a bit.

Otherblog stuff since I last posted - court dress, some pictures from the Gallery of Fashion, thinking about how to work petticoats, more stuff from the Gallery of Fashion, some paintings, the mantua, and more on a couple of paintings.
