AAAAA HPDH2
Jul. 23rd, 2011 09:11 pmAnd now I'm watching SS on ABC. Tiny baby faces! :DDDDDDDDD I am going to do a complete reread, it must be done.
Things I Loved, In No Particular Order:
- Neville. Nevillenevillenevillenevillenevillenevilleneville.
- Seriously, how good was Matt Lewis? He does so much with what he's given. And he's so hulking and tall when Dan is so tiny. God I love him.
- BB!Sirius's hair in the Pensieve, it was like a huge fluffy mop.
- Okay, I really liked Ron and Hermione's kiss. I thought it was fantastic. Perfect.
- Molly's line, the line, Julie Walters is the bomb.
- Also McGonagall.
- I surprised myself by not tearing up except over Fred. Mom did cry, though, for like the whole last ten minutes, I think.
- MALFOYS. I never liked Helen McRory as Narcissa much, but I really did here. I don't know why. All three of them were wonderful and cowardly, I love them so much.
- Aberforth's casting was pretty spot-on, he seemed like he could be related to Gambon.
- WHY did nobody ever say that Kelly Macdonald was the Grey Lady? I love Kelly Macdonald! We are both pale brunettes with round faces.
- The CGI youngening they did to Rickman was amazing. He actually looked the age he was supposed to look during the rest of the movie, but you know. It only looked obviously CGI'd because I know you can't cut someone's cheeks off, if you know what I mean.
- I ended the movie literally thinking I loved everyone involved, even Kloves. Even people who were just sitting in the audience. I LOVE EVERYONE.
I Don't Really Have Things I Didn't Like, So: Misc:
- This would have been so, so confusing if I hadn't read the books, much more so than usual. There were even a couple of places I was a little nonplussed. How was anyone who hadn't read the books supposed to understand how a doe connects to Lily?
- I kind of laughed a bit at Rickman a couple of times. When he was addressing the school and right before he died. It's just - he said his lines so slowly! What is the deal, guy?
- Why do people think Neville and Luna are together? They just sat next to each other. Adorably, but friendlily.
- On the same note, I thought the aging makeup was great. I was blown away, because I was expecting something really dreadful, but I only saw one little wrinkle-glitch on Bonnie's cheek for about a second, and I only saw it because I was looking for it. They could have done more to Emma, though.
And now I find myself wanting fic. I haven't read fic in ages, then someone recced Al Potter and his Very Epic Plan and that adorableness (minus the James-bashing ...) plus the movie makes me yearn for some specific types of fic:
- Albus Severus-centric fun next gen
- Teddy-centric next gen that is either fun or sad (need to catch up on
fernwithy)
- NEVILLE-CENTRIC YEAR 7 FIC THAT'S NOT RELATED TO DAYD IN ANY WAY FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT'S HOLY
- Neville-centric anytime fic, really
- ALL the R/T
Damn, I don't have any HP icons anymore.
