Mar. 25th, 2013 07:44 pmYesterday I stopped at the nice big Jo-Ann in Albany on the way home and bought some twill so I can work on a Regency corset, as well as some buckram so I can have another go at bonnet-making (think I should make a block first, though), hooks & eyes, and a thing of elastic because elastic in mid-Victorian undersleeves is period. The fabric-cutting line was just excessive, but they have such better selection than Glens Falls.
Tomorrow I should make another chemisette - I might try out the three-layers box-pleated-differently method I saw on someone else's to get the fuller-ruffle look, or something similar to that. I meant to get crochet cotton to make cords, but oh well.
My hair is feeling so much softer. I seem to be finally getting the amount of vinegar right, and the amount of rinsing for the conditioner.
