I don't really do the whole long list of DNWs. I am a very easy person to write for, I'm just happy you're writing something for me. If your muse takes you to some hardcore darkfic place, then power to you, given how relentlessly fluffy my choices of media/character to request tend to be.

Jeeves - PG Wodehouse

Reginald Jeeves

I'd love to see, essentially, a classic Jeeves-type story from Jeeves's perspective - what does it look like from inside the brain? Particularly if Jeeves is in love with Bertie in the story. (That said, I also have this idea of Jeeves waiting for the "right woman" for Bertie - I have no idea what sort of person that would be, but would love to read a take on it. A suitable replacement for himself? Or a woman as dumb as Bertie who would also be dependent on him?)

Ghosts (BBC)

Thomas Thorne
The Captain

These are my two favorite characters on the show! And they also don't interact much in it, which makes this tricky. If you want to write something that is hardcore about The Two Of Them (talking, on an adventure, etc.) that's fantastic. If you want to write something mostly about one, with the other being very much secondary, that's fine, too.

I think what compels me here, other than my weird crush on Mathew Baynton, is that they're both these tragic lovers. Thomas was a romantic mess in life and continues to be a mess in death, with an impossible love for Alison; the Captain was and still is deeply closeted. Could they bond over their missed opportunities? Or maybe each one thinks the other is a mess and prides himself on not being like that guy?

The Secret Garden

Dickon
Mary
Colin

FHB is my problematic fave! So problematic. But there is gold in her work. I've always loved Mary's transformation, the transformation she causes in Colin, and the pivotal role Dickon plays in it all. Post-canon fic is always great, but it might also be interesting to write something set while they're still coming to be their best selves.

I've also always seen Dickon as Mary's eventual romance, something that would have horrified Frances, haha. The story can be gen, but no Mary/Colin, I beg of you.

One place FHB always falls down is in her characterization of servants and the working classes in general, who tend to be pretty flatly depicted. I would love fic that makes one or more of the Sowerbies the main viewpoint and looks at posh little Mary and Colin through that lens.
