I like being sociable

Yesterday's presentations went well. For Candace Wheeler I was worried that Nancy (prof.) wouldn't like that it was more a biography than a study of her design techniques and for my catalogue entry I was worried that I'd dated it wrong (1910-1915 was what I gave, but it's hard to tell on a dress that's not on a mannequin what shape it's going to have, and I thought it could be maybe 1919-1922); Nancy thought I did a great job and Denny agreed with my date. So it is all done! Classes! No more! Forever!

To do academically on the internet:
- scan in the pattern for the Lefferts shirt so I can FINALLY finish and un-private-lock the post for it on mimic_of_modes
- post about 1910-1915 dress with pattern, no photo until I get home and niceify dress form
- write up essay on Candace Wheeler, my feminist hero, for mimic_of_modes and Mom --> done!
- Greeks, Tumblr, etc.

Blog doesn't look like a word anymore

I finally gave in and created a Blogspot even though that site is so so so confusing to me. I need to network with more re-enactors and costumers, and everyone is starting one! My method of posting is going to be here: everything, in dribs and drabs if I feel like it - mimic_of_modes: archival, like a website, dress diaries or research pages will get updated instead of having "part one," part two," that sort of thing - other Mimic of Modes: things might get posted in parts.

Planned posts: Greeks in fashion?, on my program and why it's so great, the shift for my thesis project.

Thinking about graduation is making me anxious, so I'm not going to do that until the day of.
