Good and bad

On the one hand, I've had two responses to job inquiries on CraigsList that turned out to be from scams listed on FlakeList, and another that isn't listed but is pinging me very hard as fake (responded right away, telling me to have a credit check done). While the two ads that seem more legit haven't responded to me yet.

On the other had, my new laptop battery came in the mail, along with the $3 "keep calm and carry on" bookmark that saved me from paying $10 for shipping, and my new bras came a couple of days ago. Nearly all my Christmas shopping is done, too.

Ruining everything

You wouldn't think you could screw up shortbread with caramel and chocolate, would you? But no, you can. (By not really turning the condensed milk into caramel, by the way, because you forget to open the microwave to stir it regularly (using the microwave in the first place was probably a bad decision) and it boils over and you take it out and it's super hot, so you decide maybe it's done, and you pour it on top of the shortbread and it's more like hot condensed milk than caramel.) I think I'll save some of it and the rest will go to people on plates for Christmas or something. Except my dad's not in the habit of doing the cookie plates and I don't know who to give them to. :(
