Ruining everything
Dec. 1st, 2011 10:45 pmYou wouldn't think you could screw up shortbread with caramel and chocolate, would you? But no, you can. (By not really turning the condensed milk into caramel, by the way, because you forget to open the microwave to stir it regularly (using the microwave in the first place was probably a bad decision) and it boils over and you take it out and it's super hot, so you decide maybe it's done, and you pour it on top of the shortbread and it's more like hot condensed milk than caramel.) I think I'll save some of it and the rest will go to people on plates for Christmas or something. Except my dad's not in the habit of doing the cookie plates and I don't know who to give them to. :(
