Today is looking all right

All I have to do is make my list of illustrations, then look at the edits for my abstract and make sure all my formatting is right. Unfortunately I think I need to rewrite most of my captions as I have no clue what formula I'm supposed to follow.

Wow. Nicollette Sheridan's apparently been suing Marc Cherry or ABC or something over her character being killed on Desperate Housewives. I like the quote at the end:

“It’s been like watching ‘Desperate Housewives’ again, but in the courtroom,” said Camilo Becdach, 29, who has watched every episode of the show. “It really would be like a storyline in the show, which makes it ironic. It’s something that Edie would have done.”

It is.

SHIP MY DAMN KINDLE

I've made a folder of things to move to the Kindle, somehow it is 732MB. There are a few proper ebooks, a solid amount of things from JSTOR I've never gotten around to reading because I'm not fond of reading on the computer, and a METRIC TON of free PDFs from Google Books that I've had in my library there forever for ditto reasons. I'm especially, dorkily excited about being able to just go through 18th and 19th century fashion magazines in my spare time.

OH SNAP while I was typing this it finally switched to "shipped". I feel bad because I read a great muckraking article in Mother Jones about the horrific conditions in the warehouses used by online retailers like Amazon, but yeah I'm kind of selfish at times.

I am going to write my grandmother a second thank you note for giving me an Amazon gift certificate.
