(no subject)

Thank god NaNo is almost over. Sick of writing rather than sewing, translating, researching, etc. At least now I should be starting the climax and it will hopefully go faster and easier.

I started trying to sew the muslin for the Sew Serendipity skirt, but now the machine is having some kind of issue. Top thread keeps breaking, and the general advice I'm finding online doesn't seem right. There's something inside the machine that keeps going CLUNK and everything bunches up. I took the plate off and dusted, but nothing looks obviously wrong. Never mind. I rethreaded it and it started working perfectly. IDGI.

The muslin seems pretty good, but I want the skirt to rest at the waist rather on the hips (more flattering) so I need to take it in a little. But that's for tomorrow.

I always feel vaguely like I'm doing Tumblr wrong whenever I see one of those "omg we're all here for all the other fans of other things, we'll hug you and comfort you" posts, because when I hear that something awful is happening in another show I just lol.
