I think this book may be too awesome to just post on my blog. I'm going to have to turn it into a Kindle book. Which will be free for the first five days so my lovely friends can get it that way, as I was originally going to post it, but then it will be for money and that means that spending my entire day translating counts as working! Yay working! Yay placating parents!

Srsly tho, it gives explicit instructions (some a trifle ... obscure) and pattern pieces and I absolutely cannot believe how glad I am that Julie pointed me this way.

Dang, I've been translating grande/petite dentelle as large and small and I'm pretty sure it's in the grande/informal kind of sense instead.

WHY WOULD YOU PUT THE GLOSSARY IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR BOOK. It is neither "plus convenable" nor "plus commode" as you suggest. Would have liked to know what "entoilage" and "lever" (in this context) meant yesterday. But in general things are going well.

When I finish this and revise it, I'm going to do The Art of the Tailor as well, I think.

Browsing Facebook, and my eye was caught by a post from the roommate I had sophomore year of undergrad. It was tagged at the end with her boyfriend, whose name I recognized as someone I knew all through grade school and high school. It's not like we live near each other or anything, it's so weird that they'd end up together. I actually sent her a message to be like "weird, huh?" and OH MY GOD I'VE JUST THOUGHT WHAT IF THEY'VE TALKED ABOUT HOW AWFUL I AM
