GOD I cannot wait to get into the seamstress section of Art of the Tailor. I found a thing in the Encyclopédie Méthodique: Manufactures, Arts et Métiers, Volume 1 on GBooks that goes over all the types of women's gowns and such, and I was going to translate it as a break because it's interesting - but then I looked at the beginning and the writing style reminded me a lot of Garsault, so I think it's taken from L'Art du Tailleur. And now I've found Tailleur in Vol 2 and it doesn't look like it's extracted, but it's very definitely based on, so it probably makes more sense not to bother.

Also, last night I came across a very definite reference to using paper patterns in tailoring and I'm eager to see if seamstresses used them as well.
