I finished my bonnet skeleton last night! I had to piece the cardstock brim with enormous linen-thread stitches, but it doesn't seem to be a problem - the wire whipped to the edge smooths it out. The crown does kind of list a bit to one side, but it's not because of the shape, it's something to do with the attachment to the brim, IDK, I'm okay with it. I'm going to cover the crown with a layer of muslin today to smooth that out as well. After this, I should really make some kind of headgear for my 1797 dress and consider making some sort of overrobe/spencer at some point.

Cut out corset pieces and started sewing. This purple fabric marker is weird. Sometimes it disappears while I'm drawing, sometimes it sticks while I wet it and I have to wait a while. It probably has something to do with the fabric sitting on the heated floor. But I should have it all assembled by this afternoon, and maybe even boned. When I decide I have no time to sew during the week, so I'm never berating myself for procrastinating or what-have-you, I have a lot more drive and energy to do it on the weekend.

Got an email back from Idlewild! She's awesome.
