Over at mom's house waiting for her to come back from wherever she is, and I found this unintentionally hilarious op-ed piece defending the gun show at the Saratoga Springs City Center. There was a protester with a sign with a ballerina, a gun, and a running horse, and "one of these things is not like the others". The defense, paraphrased: "Ask anyone in the country what they know about Saratoga, they'll tell you the Battle of Saratoga* and horse racing. Guns were at the Battle! Horses run at the track and in battle. If any of those brave patriots could have had assault rifles to defend their beloved land, they would have been happy to use them! Guns and Saratoga, everyone!"
* Took place in Saratoga (now Schuylerville/Stillwater), not Saratoga Springs
