I should probably wash my hair
Aug. 23rd, 2013 09:12 pmIt took me until just now to remember that I have a lot of twill on hand and, obviously, time to make stays. (I think what it really took was coming across the picture of me in my stays in front of people D: D: D: with my breasts all hideous.) And then it took me until just now to realize that I can ask these questions here.
So, I've figured out the corset-fitting trick of taking in at the waist and leaving ease in the hips to allow for more reduction. But what do you generally do with stays at the bust? People who have decently-fitting stays, how does the bust measure compare to your measurements in a decent bra? And how high up do they come? I always end up cutting everything down in the torso, I want to make sure I don't cut down too much.

For a while my car was getting really poor mileage, like 75 miles less per tank ... fortunately, it seems to have fixed itself. I have no idea. It may be related to outside temperature. Is that something anyone's heard of, either?
Driving through the countryside, I decided that I could totally live in Canajoharie or Cherry Valley or someplace with slightly busier downtown areas than Greenwich. Maybe Fort Plain prior to the flooding. But some of those country roads must be absolutely awful in the winter. There was one place where the guardrail stopped and started again on a curve and I figured that if that had been the place where I went off the road the car would have completely flipped onto the roof and slid down the hill and I would have died. So maybe I don't want to live over there.
