I might do a blog post on this, but I want to close some tabs, so: while reading Gaskell I came across a bit where Mrs. Rose is trying to make Dr. Harrison some shirts and has a lot of problems because the new shirts are "Corazza" shirts and they're not as simple as the geometric types she's used to. Boom.

Just me and the dog today, Mom is down at Delhi overnight. He completely turns off when she's not here, powers down and doesn't feel the need to bark at everything, which is great. She said I could just use the furnace, but I want to be Just Like Mommy and am trying to keep a fire going in the wood stove. It took me about an hour to get it going, so we'll see how it goes. Unfortunately I've used up more of her tinder-bark than I meant to and now I feel bad. But maybe at the farm she'll find some more and bring it back and I can stop feeling bad?

I may have figured out the best way to combat the hard water - not washing out the vinegar rinse. So handy that I already use it to wash my hair!

If this thing about JK Rowling regretting ending the books with Ron/Hermione turns out to be true, I will lose. my. mind. LOSE. MY. MIND. LOSE IT. author_by_night, have you heard about this??

Kept the fire going all day! Also cut out chemisette pieces like a true professional. I need to buy more lawn - think I'll get however much you need to get a bulk rate, since I've been going through it and (maybe) will start to make more things ahead if I have a bigger store.

But I didn't get down to the body shop, because they close at noon and when I went there at 2 the gates were closed. Sigh.
