Taped my wrist before breakfast
Apr. 5th, 2014 08:18 amLast night I made a judicious purchase from Joann's, for a cheap red cotton check, cheap white stuff for petticoats, buckram, and brown silk to cover a bonnet. Because I haven't made An Outfit in ages (though I have several "finished" ones that need fixing), and I've been thinking a lot lately about the 1860s. And I feel like with the mess I made of the 1840 dress, I've learned some things and (especially with a pre-made Kay crinoline) I'll be able to make something that fits well and that will boost my self-confidence and self-esteem. That's logical, right? And I'm considering doing the 3-for-$30 pattern deal from Lynn McMasters, because I really know goddamn nothing about millinery and making a shitty bonnet will negate all the good feeling from the dress fitting, right?
Basically, I decided a few weeks ago that it was okay for me to spend money without feeling bad about it and I've been spending money since then.
When did The Mindy Project turn into a Lumia commercial? I'm not usually very quick to pick these things up, so you know it's not subtle.
