(no subject)

Been very quiet as I've been working (comparatively) long hours and don't feel like posting too much. Also, not much has happened. On New Year's Day I had to get up at 6 to go to work and Riley had had diarrhea all over the living room. I stepped in it. So it goes.

I was trying to figure out what a sewing year-in-review post would look like, and that was pretty sad, but then I was like, "a proper year in review post for me would be about my writing," and now I'm going to do a best-of-each-month blog post this week. Next week will be the HSM post - because I decided I can't do it as sewing, I don't want to deal with trying to twist the topics into what works for me - this year's version seems a lot less vague than previous fortnightlies. (The January post is going to be on the shift from hoop to bustle because that's been really fascinating me lately.)

More to come tomorrow after work (I hope), I have to take a shower and go to bed because work at 7 again tomorrow.
