Anyway, rant over.
I tried to make tablet yesterday, but skimped on the sugar (I think) and so it never set. As usual, when I go to make millionaire's shortbread I get shortbread with tablet on top, and when I try to make tablet I end up with a pan full of caramel. Probably at this point it's too late to reheat it and try to dissolve more sugar in it. I'll just eat the caramel.
Today I corded the neck and arm bands of the chemise (only two rows, the original has five), gathered the chemise, and attached them. It was a pain in the ass. I'm not sure if the simplified cutting arrangement of this pattern makes up for how tedious it is, but then, I've never made an 1860s chemise, so maybe they're always tedious.
