Why Bridesmaids Deserved Its Best Picture Snub. I like it more for the disagreement in the comments - I don't think it deserved Best Picture at all, but it's the perfect example of the "can't win even if genderswapped" issue. Normal raunchy guy comedies are sexist for centering on men and having flat female characters off to one side (I agree with this part tbqh), and raunchy guy comedies with women are sexist for having stock flawed males roles filled with women.

You know, I like sharing links, you'd think I'd like Twitter. But there's this paradox where I feel awkward posting anything without many followers (because even if nobody reads I usually feel okay just putting fingers to keyboard here, or like I've accomplished something academic/documentary on Blogger), but nobody's going to follow me if I don't post. :/
