I'm actually kind of impressed at how little I've gotten done today. It's just so humid, plus nobody's home to judge me for watching episode after episode of Slings & Arrows and eating mac & cheese for dinner (so glad I picked that box up last time I went to the store). I was going to prepare to sew a skirt because I'm determined to get better at sewing on the machine, but I can't seem to find any of my patterns. I have a book called Built by Wendy: Dresses that I thought I'd use to make something, but flipping through it reminded me why I've never used it - it has three very basic patterns (sheath, shift, and dirndl) and gives patterns for variations on them. The trouble is, the variations are all either about changing the neckline, sleeve length, etc. or about changing the fabric, and none of them make me want to do anything. I should go back down to the basement and take another look in my boxes.
Okay, looked again. No sign. I did find my Middle Egyptian stuff, so I can play around with that for a while, but it's like my patterns have run off with that damned bag full of linen (FULL of linen) that disappeared. Which I am still so angry and annoyed about, you have no idea.
