So I did up a little mockup of a skirt for the VPLL 1912 pattern project, and I think it made me feel a bit better about sewing stuff? Like, okay, it's not finished-finished and it's not usable as it's tiny, but I decided to do something and I did it (to the extent that I had planned to do it). And in doing it, I get myself something else, viz. a new pattern (assuming they count my unhemmed scale version as finished, which I hope they will, because I don't know where I could get buttons or waist tape small enough). Although now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure whether or not scale versions count - I thought I saw it somewhere ages ago when I signed up, but I can't seem to find it now. D: Does anyone know?

The one I've picked out to make next is an unlined blouse. My plan is to make it my-size and then sometimes later do the skirt again, my-size as well. I think I may have unintentionally gotten a hard one, but I've always got Mom to help with techniques I can't figure out. And I think my new principle of "do it by hand where it's tricky and don't worry about it" will help as well. And I have some green checked cotton in my stash that I can use, so it's not like I'll have to spend on materials at all.
