My stupid external drive isn't working. I thought it might be the cable, so I spent $30 on a new one, but it doesn't seem to be. There's about 600GB of stuff on it, this is so annoying. It comes up as plugged in, with the tray icon to eject it, but there's no drive name (F:\), and it doesn't appear in My Computer, though it does in Device Manager; in Properties there it says it's working properly, but all the fields for volume are left blank. At least the troubleshooting page is saying that this means I can still get my files on my own with software because the partition table is the problem? But I can't do that unless I get another external first, of course. Oof. I'm running an extended diagnostic test, but I don't have high hopes.
It's cool and rainy so I have a bowl of hot chocolate and am watching Lady for a Day on Netflix. It's very soothing to my nerves and throat.
