The scene with Whale, Rumpel, and the Hatter talking, plus Hook's attempted deception (and can I just say it's nice to have a character who can see through lies, I'd forgotten about that and wasn't looking forward to multiple episodes of them believing him), makes me feel like the moral is "men are jerks".
OH REGINA, YOU SO SAD. I want you to be happy. Have to wonder, are the writers going to do a "true love solves all, she falls in love with someone else" or is she going to stand alone like the cheese?
I realized this evening that the characters I'm ... not the most invested in, but maybe that's the right phrase? Belle and Aurora, anyway, not being powerful or fighters, I want more of them and I like them. Red as well. I don't see why Sarah Bolger can't be Irish, though. If Belle can be Australian ... ?
Kudos to Daisy, I like that she's got more rank and it's made her more confident in speaking her own mind. And telling off people who deserve telling off.
Oh Thomas no. :( The sad look on his face. :(
Molesley really is the Jerry Gergich of Downton.
It's nice seeing Edith away from home, interacting with people who don't put her down all the time or compare her to Mary.
Getting real tired of Robert's shit. What is Fellowes planning here? I mean, I guess he's going for a true-to-life "older man can't adapt to the times" storyline, but the thing is that while that may be realistic, nobody wants to see a previously sympathetic character gradually become more repellant and then die.
Love Edith's red day dress she wore to lunch. Especially with that hat.
"I am never wrong." TEAM MAGGIE SMITH, EVERYONE.
Very good mauve for the christening dresses - lighter mourning. I wish I could keep track of dates better, I'm never quite sure when it is. Are we still in 1920?
