chocolatepotI know I should be working to get some extra NaNoage today since the horror of Thanksgiving is tomorrow, but instead I finished the first Miroir des Modes article from Wearing History and started the second. The first was kind of tricky, but from the first bit the second seems much simpler, so that is good. Although I note a couple of lines in that there's a sentence that's duplicated in both, what's up with that.
I got my last eBay magazine yesterday - a Delineator from 1906. It is in really, really amazing shape except for the lack of a cover - like it was put in a box a month after it arrived and nobody touched it until recently.
After this most recent cahier of Galerie des Modes, I'm taking a break from posting it. I need to make a scheduled post on that. In the meantime, I'm going to post these translations and a summary I wrote up of a period article on making up a bodice. Need to make sure I space them properly, though, since I won't be auto-posting every day.
Why is this episode of Bones wallowing in 9/11? It's pretty recent, not from September. I know I do have a Brennan-like ability to be insensitive at times, but it seems kind of unnecessary.
