Well, the rough draft translation is done. I now know a million things about eighteenth century linen. Going to take a break, make a second fruitcake (I made Dad one yesterday, full of all the gross fake fruit he likes, and the cake part was so good I decided to make one with raisins for myself), start redoing that chemise sleeve. This stupid chemise. The yoke is just snug enough that I feel like the pattern should be altered, but just loose enough that I don't feel like I have to, so I'm not.
green_martha, would you mind if I contacted you with some of the areas that are just incomprehensible to me? There aren't many, usually I do the come-back-with-fresh-eyes thing and they work themselves out, but there are a couple that are just not working.
