The literal worst
Jan. 3rd, 2013 09:11 pmI have to say that I'm really impressed by the section in the Art of the Tailor on fashion history. The writer admits that they don't know much about dress between 480 and 1200 because of a lack of sources, and says that even Clovis's tomb's statue could have been made after the fact and not be accurate for his time. Even the fact that they're researching/reporting on the history of clothing in the 18th century is a pretty big deal, considering that the field is considered to begin in the mid 20th century.
WHAT I'm watching Jude and David Tennant just bumped into Christopher Eccleston, I didn't expect this.
OTOH I just got to the dead children scene and now I don't know how I'm going to get to sleep. "I haven't read Jude the Obscure, but it's by Hardy so I expect Eccleston or Winslet dies or something," I thought when I picked it out. This is the worst.
