Feb. 10th, 2013 08:43 amOhhh, my back hurts. The snow was very wet and heavy. Fortunately I don't have to shovel any more of it today. Instead I think I might drive over to the co-op in Cambridge to get more tea, as I'm running out.
Today's sewing is going to be working on that 1918 skirt, because technically I really need to send that pattern back to Florida. The main thing to do is work out the size of the waistband on the dress form. My thought is that I'll leave the floaty-drapey-bias bits on the sides the same size as the original pattern pieces and do the alterations on the front and back pieces, which are just pleated rectangles. None of it ought to be too difficult, as the pattern's supposed to be for a 30" waist, but I can't help thinking about how everything I try "shouldn't be too tricky" and then ends with me crying about how I'm incompetent.
