Jun. 9th, 2013 04:07 pmI wish I knew what it was that I do wrong when I sew. Because it's not something simple, it's not like "I don't take enough time in pinning" or "I estimate too little space for seam allowances" - there's something fundamental about what I do that makes everything I turn out a waste of fabric, time, and money. They're not fixable with a few tucks and darts. Mathematically they work out. The fabric's never hideously wrong (though maybe a little heavy or light). But I put them on and it's like ... why? Why have I spent so much effort on this?
