Congratulations on completely missing the point of "Bernice Bobs Her Hair", probably due to not reading it. (Bernice gets popular because she talks about bobbing her hair. When her cousin pushes the issue and she has to go through with it, she comes out looking awkward and foolish and loses all her charm for the local kids.)

The writer of that article also thinks Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman was "daring", rather than being yet another "romance" in which a woman gives up her entire life and all her hopes to be with a rich douchebag.
