Sep. 16th, 2013 09:00 pmI'm skimming through my 1864 book and I've just hit this story called "Dr. John Hale and Margaret Thorne", by Susan Haskell. The story itself doesn't seem to be plagiarizing North & South, but still ... come on.
ETA: Oh, interesting.
1) "Miss T.A. - Do not send your photograph; an improper use may be made of it." D:
2) "Miss G.H. - We believe that most of the advertisements inserted in our papers are what is familiarly termed bogus. If a man wants a wife, or a woman a husband, it is not necessary to advertise for them." Aw, way to crush my dreams.
