This week on Tumblr: unfollowed someone who continually annoys me but also really Feels It when she loses a follower ... it's taken months, and it feels excellent not to have to deal with her policing fandom. Oh no, Les Mis fandom loves Musichetta out of proportion to her presence in the book! Oh no, people like Elsa best right now because there's finally an anxiety princess and everyone is always the most interested in the most recent Disney movie anyway! Oh no, someone disagrees with her presentation of witch persecution! Oh no, someone reblogged lines from Richard III!
I try to be understanding because when I was in my late teens I also interacted with fandom in a largely negative way, but at a certain point it becomes too much.
Last night I watched and finished reading Austenland, and I want to write about it but I have to go to stupid work. >:(
Finished translating Cabinet last night as well, and started in on a short project I'll probably end up posting once a week to draw out. After that ... I've been thinking about Magasin des Modes. On the con side, I'd like to branch out and do a different era, and it's very long so I'll be doing it for over a year. On the pro, Galerie was very long as well and I could try to break it up with that French magazine someone posted to the FIT alumnae (Ithink?) FB group.
