chocolatepotWorked on Kitty's cap, but I need to stop for a while, maybe until after lunch - wrist is hurting. I haven't been wearing the brace because it's so stiff and it's been rubbing on the base of my thumb, making a callus and (I think) a deep bruise; this morning my wrist hurt more but my thumb was SO much better.
I think we should make some test cake batches for the next one Mom's got to make, because the baby shower cake was very dry. The vanilla (Madeira) layers were good, but the chocolate was meh. And I would like some cake. We should probably make buttercream to go with them ... just in case. Because. You know.
WHY is my dash preoccupied with making everything to do with Sansa be about sexism. "The show accelerated her manipulation abilities, it and the people cheering it on are sexist because they're not satisfied with her as a normal girl." "The show finally gave her agency, everyone who objects wants to see her as a victim." You can like or dislike what the show does without everyone who disagrees being a misogynist, for goodness's sake. Pretty much everyone on Tumblr talking about Sansa likes her and is concerned about the portrayal of women onscreen.
But I didn't like her dress at the end. I'm sorry. I can't say much interpretive about it because who knows where they're going in the next episode, maybe they're going to dial it down, but it came off as villainous and waaaaaay too showy for the role she's (half-)playing.
Tyrion's beetle speech was too long, as Tumblr also says, but Oberyn's battle was just the right length and I'm not sure why everyone's acting like there was a great injustice.
I knew exactly what was coming at the end, but I had a hard time making myself start watching the episode because I can't deal with it. Amazing effects, but horrible.
I haven't watched Turn in weeks, it's just so boring.
