Catching up on Penny Dreadful while I research/crop. I think that while I like the possession angle (and the demon?'s obsession with sex), the Brona storyline, and Victor's issues - they all seem very authentically Victorian - I'm not into the idea that this demon thing is some ancient African/Middle Eastern evil, even though that's fairly Victorian as well. I'm not sure if it's because it seems somewhat racist (plus the servant who never does anything) or if it just reminds me too much of all the recent media involving demons and apocalypses and such.

But while I wasn't on the Eva Green train at first (yeah, she's beautiful, and she does have an arresting stare), after 1.07 ... yes, she is an amazing actor.
