- Those suspicions were that everyone would be robots acting out plays for aliens/future people, which would have been so disappointing. When the Doctor realized Robin wasn't a robot I was SO HAPPY.

- The knight-robots were based design-wise on the Black Knight from Monty Python, y/y? (Realized when the arm got cut off.)

- Mark Gatiss is v. funny, should be next showrunner or at least write more episodes.

- I like this crabby Doctor a lot more than flirtatious!Doctor. Not that I disliked Ten and Eleven flirting/being flirted with, but having the distance there is a nice change. And I think it makes him funnier.

- Really liked the slight deconstruction/mocking of Errol Flynn!Hoods, because I have a serious dislike of the trope for Reasons.

- I always feel like the Worst Feminist for this but I relate so much more to female characters that seduce rather than resist angrily from the start because I have a feeling that if I were to be involved in some type of heroic situation that's the route I would go. So I loved Clara tricking the Sheriff into telling her what was up.

- Did they decide that using lots of false hair in Victorian costumes for Clara would lull us into not noticing when her hair was suddenly a foot and a half longer?

- I'm getting a bit tired of this season arc, it's a little heavy-handed, but I have every expectation that it will eventually surprise me.

- ETA: "The Sheriff is using gold to repair a spaceship" is approximately 100x more sensible than the usual "the Sheriff demands money while repeatedly destroying all of his tenants' homes and livelihoods".
