chocolatepotWord vomited an ittle bit on Tumblr last night because I was very tired and am very excited about the book and all that. But I'm just so psyched to help people who want to make dresses and understand the era and especially to give the dresses themselves a chance to be seen when they barely ever are. I need to rein it in and gradually talk more and more about Regency stuff through 2015, I know, but I'm running high on ~emotions.
The illustrations are coming along so well. There are times when I'm trying to explain something to Mom - the slashes and puffs on the sleeves of one dress especially - and communication is just not. happening. and her croquis are all kind of broad-shouldered, but for the most part it's really cool to see the dresses on bodies. I'm getting her a pochade box for Christmas and maybe an Ancestry.com DNA test (although so much of her family tree is mapped out that it seems pointless, still not decided).
Never underestimate Tumblr's love of cats. I posted this a year ago and it's still getting reblogged.
Going down to AIHA this morning for the ~last pattern~, and I'm going to have lunch at Lazeez. I had a groupon and it expired, so I've got a $9 gift certificate essentially, which should be about the cost of the buffet. Yay!
