chocolatepotSo I 150% don't understand why La Belle Assemblée's illustrator drew lower waists on every fashion plate all through the 1810s when no other English publication did so. I've been wondering this since I wrote my thesis and I wouldn't have even used LBA as a source for my book if it weren't the only one available for the period at the FIT library.
Cold is getting better, I woke up this morning (after only waking up once in the night) with my ears not congested and I'm trying to blow my nose gently to keep them that way. But it's disgusting how much stuff there is coming out of my head. STOP IT STOP IT STOP.
