chocolatepotDang, I thought I was going to write "Google's amazing, I put in 'mystery where wife has thyroid problem' and it knew the short story I was thinking of!" And then Google did not know what short story I was thinking of. For shame, Google.
Well, I did some work. I shoveled the driveway before dinner, and I did a drawing for a pattern (it was HARD but also in some ways easier than when I was trying to explain to Mom what I wanted for the book), and I was TOTALLY PREPARED to cut out the black silk for my bodice but then the silk was missing. It's probably in the attic in a box but Mom told me the attic door is really heavy so I should wait until she's home. Um. I have two apartment visits scheduled and tomorrow will make an appointment for a third, but we don't really have a big window of time to see them since they're so far away, so I probably won't make more.
Put a little more work into my pattern-scaling-up post, it's very hard to put these things into words.
