chocolatepotSo many varied dreams last night! Crazy. The last one involved me trying to sew a straw bonnet for an 1890s wedding and getting frustrated because I didn't know what it was supposed to look like. As I woke up I realized it should have been a cloth cap on a wire frame, so of course a straw bonnet wasn't working and didn't make sense!
I really need to get rid of my two sweater dresses - one is completely stretched out and baggy, it looks awful, and the other isn't really tight but manages to cling perfectly to my body and outline exactly where the creases on my sides are. But I don't want to get rid of anything until I can replace it, and I'm holding off on sewing or buying fabric until after Christmas, because I put that sort of thing on my list and will probably get some of it from somebody. I did at least finally finish fixing the collar on one of my wool dresses, which is great.
Throat is killing me. I'm going to spend the weekend guzzling hot water with honey and lemon.
The only things I have left to do for presents is make Dad his FODMAP-free fruitcake (I'm hoping these cakes are dense enough that the GF flour substitute won't make it fall apart; will have to ask Mom for advice) and get Gramma *something*. (I need to find out if Mom did get her one of my books.) Oh, and I want another thing for Melissa, earrings I'm thinking, and then I need to wrap it all. Doing pretty well! Today's going to be a big shopping day, by my standards.
Still no idea what to write about for "secret". Off to go look through Pinterest for a dress I can uncover some kind of secret about!
