Mar. 15th, 2016 10:03 pmWell, I wore my dress with the coat zipper, then came home and put in a proper dress zipper so that people could look at me from behind. (Not only was the zipper huge and chunky, I tried a new method of zipper putting-in that apparently works really poorly with wool.)
NetGalley has given me a plethora of books. I've set aside the one about repatriation because the author wasn't convincing me (she thinks there's not really anything questionable about eg the British Museum keeping the Elgin Marbles), and picked up Our Crowd, on Jewish high society in 19th/early 20th century New York City. Needs more (any) citations, but it's fascinating. Barely anyone turned down my requests - really just Lucy Worsley's YA novel, because they'd already gotten enough reviews. Oh, and the one about alcohol in America, which was too bad but I've got a dozen others to read.
