Oh man, what to say? I have to cop to being a massive fan of Sirius Black, or at least the potential of Sirius Black, since he gets to do relatively little in canon. Actually, the whole "wasted potential" thing is really a big draw for me - here's a clever, inventive, brave, charming, immature doofus, who could grow into a really good man, but he never gets the chance to. Although at the same time, he is more mature than people give him credit for in GoF and OotP, trying to make sure Harry's not just physically safe but comforted. To complete my contradictions, I love reading about his horrible family and their fancy ways, but also his direct rejection of them. Pretty much anything you want to write about is cool.

(I figure I may as well discuss both of these together.) Okay, what's going on over here? Well, first off, as with the previous, I love a good friend group - and just in general, the juniors (and Wei Wuxian interacting with them) make up some of my favorite parts of the show/book. The sheer POTENTIAL of WWX's relationships with Jin Ling and Lan Sizhui in particular are [mind-blown.gif]. I would love to read about Jin Ling coming to get used to WWX and his more-affectionate-than-Jiang-Cheng ways, and seeing him as a real uncle - and/or about WWX working out his relationship with the now-grown-up Lan Sizhui. (Bit of a DNW here - I don't like the idea of him considering WWX or LWJ his fathers because of what that would mean, culturally, as a rejection of his biological parents, so like ... teacher, mentor, uncle, older brother, something like that.)

I'm a bit obsessed with Nie Huaisang and Jiang Yanli because they're both not really cultivators (by the heroic standards of their generation) or warriors in a society where fighting ghosts etc. and other people is a huge deal. Instead, they have their own social strengths, which are easily dismissed by other people but incredibly useful/effective in their own way. Jiang Yanli/Nie Huaisang is the conception of an absolute galaxy brain and I would love to read that as an AU! They would be an amazing power couple. But Huaisang/WWX and Yanli/Jin Zichuan are also great ships that I'd be happy to read about, or them alone, or interacting with other characters.

Mo Xuanyu & Wei Wuxian is kind of an oddball here. I'm really into the MXY/WWX/JGY/XY parallels, and I just always feel really sorry for poor MXY! There are two AUs in particular I'm interested in - 1) MXY's array to bring WWX back doesn't obliterate his own soul, but makes them both share a body, or (I saw this on Tumblr and it was unbearably cute) makes WWX manifest as something like a cat to accompany MXY and help him achieve his goals, and 2) WWX never dies in the first place, maybe never gets considered so evil by the rest of the cultivation world, and gets to step in with MXY before he becomes suicidal, though perhaps still after he gets kicked out of the Jin Sect. (WWX would definitely want to get to the bottom of that, and to his family's abuse.)
