The other night in the shower, I had a realization that what I want to do with my clothes is just reinventing EGL from first principles. I don't know what to do with this. In fairness to me I think the actual aesthetic I'm going for is more mature than lolita but ...

There is a fest going on all January called "OFMD JanuAUry", which I'm not trying to be a completionist on because I have other things to do!!! but here and there I'm participating. Yesterday I wrote a Going Postal AU, Going Nautical! Probably going to do a Strong Poison AU for "noir" day, and ... crap, I had a good idea for "pick any tv show" day but I've forgotten it again.

It is! That's all it is! Except I still don't generally want to wear black. I caucus with the goths, though.

I should check that out, blouses are always my weak point.

I was ambling through my Clothing AWL (as one does) and realized I was incorrect. What you want is Corporate Goth. Victorian Goth sometimes wanders away with corsets and bare shoulders which is the opposite of EGL.

I'm failing to truly get into the fest because I just don't want to write modern settings ahdhajksda so I'm skipping some days and at other times I'm writing the prompt not in a modern setting (like "library", I wrote a ficlet where 18thc Stede opened a library in Whitechapel). I'm going to do angels & demons as a Good Omens AU!
