The good, the bad, and the old-fashioned
May. 31st, 2011 07:36 pmThe good: Mom and I are going to the Johnstown Johnson Hall Market the weekend after next, which is basically a Revolutionary War Faire, and a demo-type thing at Ft. Ticonderoga the weekend after. Not in costume since we don't have any, but we can talk to people and get an idea of how to get involved (after I make my thesis project ...). It should be very fun! If very sunny and hot.
The bad: The car I was going to see this evening has been sold already. The trouble with Craigslist is that Dad and I have to be prepared to just go as soon as we contact someone about their ad, because everything sells the day/the day after it's posted.
The old-fashioned: I spent a lot of time today playing stuff out of Favorite Songs of the [18]Nineties. It's kind of funny how many of the songs I know from albums I've bought. I can't play all of them, just ones with simpler left-hand parts (generally there's a lot of bum-DUM-DUM sorts of things), and I can't really play them fast enough to sing along with properly. But I can play Daisy Bell and In My Merry Oldsmobile and After the Ball!
