I haven't posted about Game of Thrones in a while, but that's because after my initial dissatisfaction I fell in love with it.
- After the first few bits, I felt Sansa and Arya began to be treated more evenly. Arya getting sword-education because of Ned was a plus (as opposed to the trope of sword-education that's secret from the oppressive father), and Sansa's personality seemed to be shown more sympathetically after Lady died (;_;) I think.
- The intrigue! A lot of historical/pseudo-historical fiction, imo, features jockeying for power that is either terribly forced, with people vying for the crown just because everyone is supposed to want to be king, or black-and-white, with the Good True Monarchists and Evil Usurpers. I understand where everyone's coming from here, and there's a mix of sympathetic motivations.
- YMMV, of course, but I think the race issues eased up. The longer Daenerys is with the khalasar, the more three-dimensional the Dothraki feel. And, relatedly, I have been spoiling myself and I am so excited about Dany's storyline omgggggg.
- Everything related to Tyrion, everything everything.
I'm not into Jaime, though. IDGI, people are always talking about how they started to find him interesting after the first ep, but as soon as I finally get over Bran he attacks Ned and I am just not on board with all this.

What is wrong with me? I'm rereading the Shoebox Project.
