Is something I'm never driving in again, ever. Next time I make an appointment for a museum visit in Albany, I will make it for about ten in the morning so I leave around two, because I had the WORST time yesterday. Dad's Garmin was telling me to get off at exit 9E, for route 7E, Troy/Bennington, and I thought it was saying exit 7E, so I went WHOA I'm right there and got off, and then the computer wasn't understanding when I tried to go up route 4N, it kept telling me to turn around and get back on 787, so I did. Turn around, anyway, because I managed to drive right past the on ramp. So I had to turn around again and give it another try. This makes it sound very straightforward, but you have to imagine all kinds of other traffic-related stressors and accidentally driving past a bus with its stop sign out and all sorts of stupid stuff.
I did have a good time at the museum, though. I got to handle a ca. 1750 silk damask gown and a couple of dresses that I will definitely be pulling from for my thesis. One is basically the exact dress I'm going to be making.
