I read the excerpt SRB posted from her newest book, Unspoken, the other day. I like it a lot more than Demon's Lexicon, but I can't get past how much the dialogue sounds like the little scripts she posts in her blog to represent her and other people talking. It was one thing when she had side characters whose voices were indistinguishable from her Draco - it's another when literally all of the dialogue consists of a Sensible Outsider voice, a Lol Crazy Main Person voice, and a Long-Suffering But A Bit Odd Friend voice, the exact same voices she uses in her posts.
