This 1912 blouse is going together competently enough that I do feel more confident about my abilities. There are areas where it's very tricky, but it'll give me something to put in the write-up for more points. And it was cheap fabric I had sitting around that happens to line up with what the original pattern called for (green checked cotton). It doesn't matter whether or not it fits because this is the sort of thing where you need to do a mockup anyway ... but it's thisclose to actually fitting, which does make it a bit sad, because if I'd just been thinking a leetle bit more I could have had a functional shirt. Well, it is functional, it's just a wee bit tight across the shoulders. Which does get a bit better if I square them back. So maybe it's not too tight. It's too early to tell, I haven't put the cuffs or button strips on yet.
The really annoying thing is that I left my camera at work and I might not be going back for a couple of days because my car Has A Thing that needs fixing, and Dad took his and will be away for a couple of nights. :|
