Hmm. The curtains are unpicked and in the washer, and I'm thinking. (The tag said dry clean only, but the fabric is all cotton once you take the interfacing out of the tie-backs, and I wash everything cold, so I think it'll be all right.) What I'm wondering is, if I give the demi-polonaise a small queue like one of the plates, will there be enough left over to make a caraco so I can take the tail off and sometimes have a full outfit. Esp. because I don't know when I'm going to get silk for a mantelet. Once I've ironed them and can spread them out on the floor, I'll see. I wish I had my own pattern to use, but as it is there's a short polonaise pattern in CoWC that I can adapt into a polonaise caraco.

I just translated one of the plates that shows a woman hanging around outside with her nipples out. It ... it's not really explained like I hoped it would be.

Got an email receipt from an historical society! It is sad when I'm to the point that just having my application acknowledged feels like a victory and like I'm halfway to a job. (It's for a job as a full-on curator. So I'm actually not.)
